The Winter Olympics were here, and it was all fun and games. The Winter Olympics are exactly like the normal Olympics, but with more… well, winter games. These include sports like bobsleighing, curling, snowboarding, figure skating, ski jumping, ice hockey, and many more. The next Winter Olympics is in 2030, and it is held every four years, just like the normal Olympics.

Out of all 116 (give or take) events in these frosty Olympics, the most famous are snowboarding and figure skating. Norway had the most medals with 41 total medals. Next was the USA (the United States) with 33 medals. Last was Italy with 30 medals.

The Winter Olympics are very fun. Some amazing things happened in the Olympics. One was Chloe Kim “passing the torch.” Chloe won three gold medals in snowboarding. Then, this year, Chloe Kim won a silver medal while Gaon Choi for South Korea won gold. Chloe was a good sport and was proud of the 17-year-old.

Another unforgettable moment was when 41-year-old Elana Meyers Taylor FINALLY won gold. After winning three silver and two bronze medals, she won first place in a women’s monobob.

A canine also joined the fun as well! In a cross-country race, a wolfdog named Nazgul joined the race with the athletes.

The most famous game in the Olympics is love. Four proposals happened this year, some from the athletes themselves.

The Winter Olympics are unique, fascinating, and just cool. You should definitely watch it in four years!
