South Korea is a land filled with many fun places to visit. It has a population of 51.65 million to 51.7 million. “South Korea is a country in Eastern Asia occupying the southern half of the Korean Peninsula.” Its largest city is Seoul, which is also South Korea’s capital. In this article I am going to talk about some of the places you must visit which are really interesting and exciting.
One of the places that you must go to is Jeju Island, which is a volcanic island. In the heart of this island, you will find South Korea’s tallest mountain, which is called Hallasan—a volcano with a crystal clear lake in its crater. It is actually perfect for scuba diving, but if scuba diving isn’t your thing, you can ride in a submarine, which is not that costly. Another amazing thing you might find is a 900-year-old tree in Bijarim Forest. It is another place to have fun and take photos.
Another place which is often visited by many people for relaxation is Busan. Haeundae Beach is one of the most popular beaches to visit in South Korea, attracting 10 million vacationers every summer. Its shallow water allows for people of all ages to enjoy the sea bathing. Another advantage is, there are food stalls, traditional markets, cultural performances, and festivals that make it an amazing place to visit. Another beach that is famous for its breathtaking view is Gwangalli Beach. To truly enjoy this beach, it is highly recommended to visit at night because at night, you will see a picturesque view emerging above the dark blue sea when the lights turn on the Gwangandaegyo Bridge.
If you are not a beach person, then you should visit Gyeongju. In Gyeongju, you can find “tombs, temples, pagodas, palaces, ruins, and other historical artifacts than any other place in Korea” has! Gyeongju is also known as “the museum without walls.” There are a lot of history to see since it was the capital of the Silla Kingdom for nearly 1,000 years.
One of the places in Gyeongju, Korea is the Bulguksa Temple. Bulguksa is a “head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism” and six other houses. This temple was constructed by King Beopheung, which was a smaller temple. “The current temple was constructed by King Gyeongdeok.”
