If you think that origami is just a normal art, it’s not. Origami is the art of paper folding. You can create anything, like animals or structures. Origami is the Japanese tradition of paper folding.

The term “origata” was used to be the old term before origami. These paper-folding things don’t need any glue, cuts, or markings on the paper. The achievement is to transform a flat paper into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques. Into a normal flat paper, you can make anything you want, such as animals or structures. The best known origami model is the Japanese paper crane.

  1. The word “origami” is a blend of the Japanese words ori (meaning “to fold“) and kami (meaning “paper“).
  2. While strongly associated with Japan, paper folding evolved into an artistic practice in other cultures, such as Spain, where it’s known as papiroflexia.
