The Wise Owl – January 2026

By The Wise Owl

“Dear Wise Owl,

I keep getting bullied and there’s nothing I can do about it since I don’t know what to do! My parents say to “tell a teacher,” but it keeps happening too often even when I do tell the teacher. When I do tell the teacher, the bullies keep picking on me even more. What should I do?”

-Sincerely, FRUSTRATED

“Dear FRUSTRATED,

Bullying is a terrible thing that happens to many people and I’m really sorry it’s happening to you. The first thing you can do is, bullies only pick on people who are lonely. Stick with your close friends. Another thing bullies do is they want your reaction when they bully you. So, when a bully comes up to you don’t react the way they want you to react. You can also keep a record of what the bully does to you. It would even help if you wrote down witnesses. That way, if you tell a trusted adult or teacher, you have good evidence. Another thing you can do, is that you can tell them to stop, and if that doesn’t work, just walk away. I hope my advice works.”

-Sincerely, Ms. Know-It-All

“Dear Ms Know-It-All,

My best friend/s is hanging out with new people and leaving me out, what should I do?”

-Sincerely, UPSET FRIEND.

“Dear, UPSET FRIEND,

Feeling left out is something terrible to feel and I’m really sorry that this is happening to you. Here are a few things that might help improve your friendship. First, you might want to try their perspectives before you jump to a negative conclusion without every fact. You then can find out facts. Ask your best friend/s why they have been ignoring you. From there onwards, you can find a solution together. I hope this helps.
