I have two friends’ birthday parties this weekend on Saturday at the same time. They are both amazing friends. And I can’t decide which party to go to. I don’t want to make a friend sad by going to the other’s party. I don’t know what to do. Please help me!”

Dear Confused,

I get your concern. I have most definitely been through your issue. It’s best you don’t lie to any of your friends. You can stay for a while at one person’s house and go to the next party after that. If that is too hard, just state why you couldn’t go to the other’s party to the other friend the next time you see them. I normally use the first method. I get two gifts, go to each other’s parties, and give them their gifts. I can sometimes only stay at the second party for a bit, but still, at least I tried to come. And that’s what matters. So don’t feel bad. It happens to SO many people. Just come clean after. If the friend is a true one, they’ll be just fine.

I have lately been getting SO SO SO much homework over the past month. I only go to bed at 11:00 or 12:00pm. I have to wake up at 5:30 each morning too. It’s been really hard to keep up with all the work. I can’t finish all of the homework if I want to sleep at 10:00pm either. Please help!”

It can be super challenging when you don’t get enough sleep. You feel exhausted the next day when you wake up. You gotta push through that energy and it is so irritating. You can start by starting your homework a bit earlier. If that doesn’t work, you can tell what’s happening to your teacher. She hopefully will understand. These are the normal rules for your situation. Sometimes, devices like phones can be a distraction. You can stop it by putting your phone in another room and stop distractions! You can also give yourself an energy boost by working for a set period of time, and then giving yourself a mini 5-minute break. This helps a lot of people. Overall, these are some methods that many people use daily to avoid workload stress. You can definitely try them too. It might or might not work, but if it doesn’t just let us know!
