Dublin, California is getting ready for an important local election in November 2026. Local elections are important because the people elected can make decisions that affect the community every day. This year, Dublin voters will choose a mayor and two City Council members. The election will give voters a chance to decide who they think can help lead Dublin in the future
The current mayor of Dublin is Sherry Hu. She was elected mayor in 2024 and is now running for another term. During her time as mayor, Hu has focused on issues such as public safety, city finances, infrastructure, businesses, and responsible growth. Dublin has continued to grow, so decisions about roads, schools, parks, and other services are important parts of the city’s future.
The 2026 Dublin election will include the mayor’s race and City Council races in Districts 2 and 4. The mayor is elected by voters across the city, while the District 2 and District 4 council seats are elected by voters in those districts. Mayor Sherry Hu is running for reelection, City Council member Michael McCorriston and newcomer Kiran Mohammad are challenging her for mayor. The election is scheduled for November 3, 2026.
The 2026 Dublin election could be an important moment for the city. Voters will choose leaders who will help make decisions about Dublin’s future and how the city continues to grow. Because local government can affect everyday life in a community, learning about the candidates and the issues can help voters make informed decisions. The election will take place on November 3, and Dublin residents will decide who they want to lead the city.
