Summer was two and a half months long. Some might be disappointed, some might be happy, and some might have never had a summer break to start off with. You may be confused with the last part of the sentence I had just stated. Let me help you with that. Diving in, most parents and adults might have worked throughout summer break and might have not been able to enjoy it. So the next time you see your parents or guardians, say a quick old thanks.
Anyways, Summer has ended and school just started. I ( just like the other members of this amazing newspaper) am going to 6th grade. How do I feel you might ask? My answer? Great! I get to finally meet people I have never met before. I get to make new friends and everything. But there is a downside; in middle school, everything starts to get harder, like studies, homework, and we don’t get a lot of breaks. But enough about me and the starlite crew. The next part of this article is going to be an interview with a student at my new school, Wells Middle School. Meet SadhanaShree SenthilRaja!

Q1. Are you excited to go to a new school?
A1. Yeah I am really excited.
Q2. Do you have friends in your new school?
A2. As a matter of fact, yes, I do.
Q3. How do you feel about this new transition?
A3. I am really happy and excited to go to a new school with my OG friends and am excited to make more too!
Q4. What are your favorite classes?
A4. I’m gonna say history or band.
Q5. Are you taking any electives, and if so, which ones?
A5. Band is the only one I am currently doing.
Q6. Do you worry about harder school and homework?
A6. Nope.
Q7. Do you have any advice for others who may be nervous about entering Middle school?
A7. My advice will be to always follow your dreams no matter the obstacle and eventually you will get there.
Q8. What is the coolest thing about being a 6th grader?
A8. There are so many cool things. But for starters, going around the school to classes, making new friends, having many teachers, and new things to learn!

Now this year, it isn’t our normal Dublin California schools opening only. Because this time, we have Shamrock TK-8 school joining the party. This brand new amazing school in Dublin Boulevard is opening on August 11th along with the others. Many students and staff are now going to Shamrock hills. This new school hasn’t opened the 7th and 8th grade buildings yet. But so far, it looks absolutely amazing. If you know a person who is going to this new awesome school, make sure to give them a high five the next time you see them! Anyway, the school that you are going to doesn’t matter. All of them are great. But here is something that does: you study well. This year is a new year, and a new chance for you to do great.
